What Fascinates Me? Quonts question 19

Karesha: The mortals of Mernac fascinate me. Mainly the strange ones. For example there was the merman who decided that his trident would make a great device for shooting lightning. Needless to say water and lightning dont mix! Then there was the gnome who decided to light his toopa pipe while making explosive powders. Strange how it is more often the men than the women who perform these self destructive acts. My scribe has informed me that this phenomenon is known as the Darwin Awards on Dirt. Seems no matter the planet stupid people will do stupid things.

Scribe: Animals, birds, wildlife of any kind fascinate me. There was the memorable time when I yelled "COCKY!" (short for cockatoo although Im sure Karesha would prefer the 'naughty type') whilst travelling in the car. My partner nearly leapt out of the seat with the suddeness of it and I am still reminded of the incident although it happened years ago.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to the Pet and Pony expo. No ponies unfortunately due to an outbreak of equine flu but plenty of pets. Dogs of all shapes and sizes took their owners to the event. Farm yard animals were a hit with the kids. There were ferrets, cats and even a full size pig named Wilbur. My favourites were the lizards and the snake. Apparently Australia is home to seven of the ten most deadly snakes in the world!

The founders of Mernac, Rick and Heather Merriman's little yorkie Wanda snuck out on 19th November in the Pompano Beach Florida area. A reward is available for her safe return. Please see the flyer below. Thankyou.

Inspiration - Quont's Question 18

Karesha: The lovely delights of the Marble Palace are ALWAYS inspiring ..... who knew you could do THAT with a bottle of ice wine?

Scribe: I find inspiration in all sorts of places ... work (amazing the people you come across!), places, art, reading, music, family and friends. Sometimes it is the small things that inspire creativity!

THE RACE

collected with care
a cherished prize
young children playing
with wide eyes

primed and ready
willing to race
the snail is winning
at his own pace

shiny trails
slime to dry
beneath the awesome
summer sky

joyous shoutsl
aughter heard
snails race on
(I know its absurd)

the sun sinks low
the day is done
a nice green treat
for the snail that won

Ticklish? Quont's question of the week - 16

Karesha's reply: Well yes I am ticklish .... in the right places ..... but not so ticklish that I lose control ....... I am always in control!

My Scribe: No not ticklish ... except in very select spots ;-)
